Puno - Copacabana - Sun Island - Inti Wata - Copacabana - La Paz
Early in the morning, transfer from Puno to the Copacabana Sanctuary crossing the border between Peru and Bolivia. A guided visit to the main sanctuary and pilgrimage center of Bolivia, including the Basilica where the Copacabana's Virgin, patron saint of Bolivians. Next board the Catamaran Cruise Ship for sailing to the Sun Island, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. In this legendary island visit the Inca Garden, Stairs and Fountain. Pick up from hotel and start of the tour of the capital city of Bolivia, Sucre, as the first attraction you will visit the Main Square May 25, where the Historical Museum of Liberty is located; Historical place where the Bolivian independence act was signed, in addition to housing many medals, titles, paintings and patriotic symbols that are part of the material treasure of the nation. The main square of Sucre also houses the Metropolitan Cathedral on one of its sides. Pick up from hotel and departure to the Imperial Villa of Potosí, one of the main cities in the world for its mineral contribution. Walk through its small colonial streets and make the first visit to the Casa de la Moneda, the most important museum that houses the old coin machinery due to the surprising extraction of silver from Cerro Rico, continuing with the walk you will visit the exteriors of the Cathedral of Potosí and you will visit the Tower of the Company of Jesus, a baroque style tower part of the convent that is part of the old imperial town, also visit the Arch of Magdalena de Cobija, which delimited the southern entrance to the city of Potosí and served as a limit between the colony and the indigenous people. UYUNI SALT FLATS BASIC + TUNUPA FULL DAY
Pick up from the airport. Departure to the Colchani village where is possible to observe the extracting salt process by hand and the salt local handicrafts. Visit to "Ojos de Sal", the salt eyes, interesting to be the exit points of the salt water; salt hexagons, geometric shapes on the salt flats surface, piles of salt and we will cross the salt flats to enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
Visit to Incahuasi Island, it is located in the heart of the salt flat and it is the biggest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated with giant cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high (26.25 feet), providing an impressive overview. Continue visiting the north side of salt flat, where we take a look the Coquesa Mummies, human archeological remains in a little cave near to Tunupa Volcano, from where you can observe the immensity of the salt flats in addition to that we carry on to the circular and wet Chiquini Cave which is full of stalactites and stalagmites. Finally, we will appreciate the sunset and then return to the hotel. Picnic lunch in the salt flats.
From April to November, dry season, the salt flats surface gives the opportunity to play with photography and perspective. From December to March, the entire salt flats surface is covered with water and becomes a huge white mirror where the sky is perfectly reflected on the salt flat surface. Due to the flooding during this season, some of the attractions might not be reachable and as a precaution vehicles will only go to the safest flooded locations.
