Itinerary

Day 1

LAGO TITICACA

CULTURAL CRUISE PUNO - LA PAZ FULL DAY

Puno - Copacabana - Sun Island - Inti Wata - Copacabana - La Paz
Early in the morning, transfer from Puno to the Copacabana Sanctuary crossing the border between Peru and Bolivia. A guided visit to the main sanctuary and pilgrimage center of Bolivia, including the Basilica where the Copacabana's Virgin, patron saint of Bolivians. Next board the Catamaran Cruise Ship for sailing to the Sun Island, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. In this legendary island visit the Inca Garden, Stairs and Fountain. The itinerary continues with the visit to the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, the main private tourist attraction in Bolivia, which only tourists who visit the Sun Island aboard catamarans have access. This attraction includes the Ekako Underground Museum showcase archeological treasures, the Titicaca Reed Shipbuilders display, a handicraft center, the Intica Lounge, a botanical garden of Inca agriculture and a variety of Andean camelids. Later, return to the Catamaran to enjoy a lunch on board towards Copacabana. Finally, land transfer La Paz city.

Day 2

EXPERIENCE CITY TOUR - HALF DAY

Pick up from the hotel to visit Jaen Colonial Street, which is one of the most well preserved colonial streets of the city. The tour continues to Plaza Murillo where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress buildings are located. After, walk through Witches Market provides a fascinating window on the secretive world of Andean mysticism. Later, visit Rodriguez typical market, the largest food market in La Paz, the variety of the products are as colorful as the outfit of the local women who sell them. A must in La Paz is certainly taking a ride in a Cable Car to enjoy fantastic views and to finish the tour visit the spectacular Moon Valley features bizarre geological formations.

Day 3

UYUNI SALT FLATS BASIC FULL DAY

UYUNI - SALT FLAT - UYUNI

Pick up from the airport. Departure to the Salt Flat visiting the Train Cemetery, the Colchani village where is possible to observe the extracting salt process by hand and the salt local handicrafts. Visit to "Playa Blanca" a museum of salt; "Ojos de Sal", the salt eyes, interesting to be the exit points of the salt water; salt hexagons, geometric shapes on the salt flats surface, piles of salt and we will cross the salt flats to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Lunch in restaurant or picnic.

Also, you can visit to Incahuasi Island, it is located in the heart of the salt flat and it is the biggest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated with giant cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high (26.25 feet), providing an impressive overview. You will appreciate the sunset, take pictures and drop off to the hotel.

From April to November, dry season, the salt flats surface gives the opportunity to play with photography and perspective.
From December to March, the entire salt flats surface is covered with water and becomes a huge white mirror where the sky is perfectly reflected on the salt flat surface. Due to the flooding during this season, some of the attractions might not be reachable and as a precaution vehicles will only go to the safest flooded locations.
We suggest you to wear sandals to enjoy the warm water of the salt.
