Visit the capital of an ancient civilization, Tiwanaku, located just 72 km from the city of La Paz. During its heyday, Tiwanaku was the main ceremonial center and the cradle of Andean culture. On this visit, you can explore the Kalasasaya Temple (of the Sun), with the enigmatic and famous "Gate of the Sun" inside, the Semi-subterranean Temple, and the Akapana Pyramid.
