The Jesuit Missions, considered one of Bolivia’s and the world’s greatest cultural treasures (UNESCO’s Cultural Heritage of Mankind) are located in the Chiquitania, a tropical region northeast of the city of Santa Cruz.
The caves are one of the main attractions of Toro Toro National Park. Only eleven caves have been explored by different researchers; there are 35 yet to be explored.
Most of the cattle breeding in Bolivia takes place in the Beni and Santa Cruz regions. Jesuits introduced cattle in 1675.
